Patricia "Patt" (Dennis) Koehler

Patricia D. (Patt) Koehler, 81, of Saegertown, passed away after a lengthy illness on Sunday, June 26, 2016, at the Marquette Hospice House in Meadville.

Born March 10, 1935, in Linesville, she was the daughter of Clyde and Emmer Griffey Dennis.  She married Matt Koehler on December 11, 1954, in the Linesville United Methodist Church.

She was a 1953 graduate of Linesville High School.

Patt was a loving and devoted domestic engineer for her family.

She was a member and heavily involved with the United Methodist Women at the Hamlin Chapel United Methodist Church in Saegertown.  Also, she was an active member with the district and local United Methodist Women where she held various offices.

Patt won many awards for her baked goods at the Crawford County Fair.  She enjoyed playing cards, quilting and was known for her homemade bread.

Survivors include her loving husband of 61 years, Matt Koehler; a daughter, Carol Koehler Smith of Beaufort, North Carolina; a son, Keith Koehler and his wife, Norma, of Port Allegany, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, Bryan Smith, Sara Koehler and Adam Koehler; a brother, Ralph Dennis and his wife, Linda of Westminster, Maryland; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Cherri Koehler; a sister, Shirley Ross; and a half brother, Donald Harvey.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Linesville United Methodist Church, 334 West Erie St., Linesville.

A funeral service will follow the calling hours at 6 p.m. on Thursday at the Linesville United Methodist Church with Pastor Jeff Bobin, of the Hamlin Chapel United Methodist Church in Saegertown, officiating.

Burial will be private in Linesville Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice or to Hamlin Chapel United Methodist Church, 16460 State Hwy 198, Saegertown, Pa  16433.
