Jean M. (McBride) Marr

       Jean M. Marr, 89, of Shermansville, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2016, at Rolling Fields in Conneautville where she had resided for the past two years. 

       Born April 26, 1927 in Fredericksburg (Meadville), she was the daughter of Andrew and Nellie Findley McBride.  She married William C. Marr on February 22, 1947 in Mercer.  He preceded her in death on March 20, 2002. 

       She was of the Protestant faith.  Jean was a hard working farmer’s wife and a loving and devoted mother.  She enjoyed reading, working on the farm and loved animals.  She cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

       Survivors include a son, Gary Marr and his wife, Audrey, of Kalispell, Montana; three daughters, Janet McCusker and her husband, Chuck, of Linesville, Linda Hunt and her husband, David, of Conneaut Lake and Sharon Marr of Conneaut Lake; six grandchildren, Mark Marr, Rachel Marr, David Marr, Jesse Marr, Linda Lasher and Steven Miller; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Mabel Marr; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

       She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; an infant grandson, Matthew Marr; and a sister, Waive Jackson and her husband Arden. 

       Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.  Additional calling hours will be on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. before the service.

       The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Rev. Russ Hines of the Norrisville United Methodist Church officiating. 

       Burial will be at Southside Cemetery in Shermansville.
