William (Bill) Henry Bachman, 94, of Conneaut Lake, went to be with his Lord peacefully on Thursday, December 15, 2022.
Born September 19, 1928, in Butler, he was the son of Henry and Hilda (Risch) Bachman. He married Myrtle Kradel on July 11, 1953, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Butler; she preceded him in death on November 1, 2015.
He was a 1947 graduate of Butler High School. William served our country in the United States Army from 1950 until 1952 during the Korean War. From 1947 until 1966 he was head baker for Chantler Baking Company in Butler. He then worked as a steel worker for Armco Steel in Butler and retired in 1990.
Bill was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed carpentry, woodworking, camping and traveling with his wife.
Survivors include four children, Linda (Robert) Slevin, William D. Bachman, Debra (Terry) Terwilliger, and June (Joseph) Schmidt; ten grandchildren, Shannon (Gloria) Slevin, Christopher Cain, Adam (Eric) Slevin, Korrin (Kevin) Slevin Thomas, Chad Bachman, Troy (Shad) Terwilliger, Michael (Shawna) Schmidt, Amber (Brandon) Terwilliger, Tarah (Philip) West, Cody (Alexis) Slevin; 8 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; three sisters; and four brothers.
A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, December 17 at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11 until noon.
