       Walter Plesniak Jr., 69, of Linesville passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2019, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.   

       Born November 22, 1949, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Walter Sr. and Ruth (Williams) Plesniak.  He married Nancy Dean on January 15, 1970 at the Port Vue Methodist Church. 

       Walter worked at Precoat Metals in McKeesport for 39 years until the plant closed.  He served as President of the Union there.

       He was a member of the Pymatuning Sportsman’s Club, Linesville American Legion Post 462, Linesville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7842, Vernon Township Fire Department and Conneaut Lake Park Fire Department Station 5.

       Walter enjoyed carpentry, bowling, golfing and fishing and was a Pittsburgh Pirates fan.  He loved relaxing on his porch with his dog, Lucy. 

       Survivors include his loving wife of  49 years, Nancy Plesniak; a son, Joe Plesniak and his wife, Beverly, of Linesville; two grandsons, Joey and Jacob Plesniak; seven siblings, Betsy Titmus and her husband, Ernie, of Greenville, Rose Johnson, and her husband, Randy, of Kooskia, Idaho, Paul Plesniak of Munhall, Don Plesniak of McKeesport, Joe Plesniak and his wife, Deb, of White Oak, Mary Ann Lust and her husband, Don, of McKeesport, and Steve Plesniak and his wife, Sue, of North Huntingdon; a brother-in-law, Joe Dean of Robinson; and many nieces and nephews. 

       He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Dan and Charlie Plesniak.    

       The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.  Additional calling will be Wednesday before the service from 10 to 11 a.m.

       A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Terry Smith of the Linesville First Baptist Church officiating.

       Burial with military honors will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville on Thursday at 12:30 p.m.
