Roy M. Hogan II

     Roy M. Hogan II, 70, of Meadville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at his residence.

     Born March 24, 1953, in Meadville, he was the son of Roy and Naomi (McKlveen) Hogan.  Roy was a graduate of Meadville High School.  He married Barb Christie on December 16, 1998. 

     In his younger years, he worked at PPG in Meadville for several years.  He then worked for Range Resources as a well tender for many years.  He also was a previous owner of Rebecca Restaurant in Linesville.   

     Roy enjoyed playing softball, golfing and hunting.  He loved going to his daughter, Rebecca’s hockey games.  He was a member of the Linesville First Baptist Church. 

     Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Barb Hogan; daughter, Rebecca M. Hogan, a Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps stationed at Camp Pendleton in California; and several cousins. 

     He was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts, uncles and cousins

     The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 until 7 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville. 

     A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Terry Smith officiating.

     Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Harmonsburg.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Linesville First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 387, Linesville, Pa 16424.
