Richard E. Hunter

     Richard E. Hunter, 92, of Harmonsburg, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020, at the Crawford County Care Center in Saegertown. 

     Born May 31, 1928, in Meadville, he was the son of the late Ralph and Helen (Thompson) Hunter.  He married Shirley Ricke on January 2, 1954 and she preceded him in death on July 11, 2010. 

     He retired from Avtex Fibers in Meadville after 34 years in the technical department.  He had served our country in the United States Marine Corps. 

     Richard was an active member of the Harmonsburg Presbyterian Church where he served as a trustee, elder and taught Sunday school.   

     Survivors include three children, Sharon Mason and her husband, Rick, of Harmonsburg, Allen Ricke Hunter and his wife, Kimber, of Linesville and Wendy Mangol and her husband, Jeffrey, of Union City; ten grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and a son, Timothy Hunter.

     Private arrangements are under the direction of  Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
