Raymond F. Corey

     Raymond (Ray) F. Corey, 74, of Espyville, passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at his residence surrounded by his family. 

     Born October 31, 1944, in Ashtabula, Ohio, he was the son of Edward and Loretta Patterson Corey. 

     He had attended Edgewood High School in Ashtabula. 

     Ray was a steel worker for J & L Steel in Maple Heights, Ohio.  He then owned and operated Ray’s Tire Service in Saybrook, Ohio and recently sold and repaired mowers. 

     He enjoyed playing music and working on riding lawn mowers.  Ray loved spending time with family and friends. 

     Survivors include his wife, Susan Corey; his children, Randy Corey and his wife, Jessica, Linda Montalvo and her husband, Sam, Fred Corey and his girlfriend, Melody, Bridget Phillips, Morgan Corey, Lorraine Jean  Estter, Heather Boyward Corey and her boyfriend, Jason, and Nicole Corey; a brother, Lynn Curtis Corey; three sisters, Carol Mazak, Lois Sanders and her husband, Clyde, and Sharon Herron and her husband, Donald; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who called him Papa Yogi.

     He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Joyce Baker; his second wife, Patricia A. (Gibson) Corey; two daughters, Bernadine Anderson and Nancy Vargus; a son, Scott Corey; and two brothers, Henry and Ron Corey.

     The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville. 

     A funeral service will follow on Saturday at 7 p.m. with Rev. Timothy Gowens and Pastor Scott Ardary co-officiating. 

     Burial will be in Linesville Cemetery.
