Mary Alice Walther, 86, of Linesville, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021, at Wesbury Retirement Community in Meadville.
Born February 24, 1934, in Linesville, she was the daughter of James and Hazel (Snyder) Swafford.
She attended Linesville High School. For 17 years, she worked as a cashier at Cutter’s Outlet in Vernon Township.
Mary had attended Linesville First Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to NASCAR races and went to Daytona for many years. She loved spending the winters in St. Cloud, Florida. Mary enjoyed crossword puzzles and cherished spending time with her family.
Survivors include three children, Joyce Betts of St. Cloud, Florida, Tim (Brenda) Bollard of Westford and Brenda Bollard (Kevin Maciag) of Cold Spring, Texas; five grandchildren, Tim (Alex) Bollard of St. Cloud, Florida, Tamura (Mike) Jones of St. Cloud, Florida, Jerod (Laura) Bollard of Tega Cay, South Carolina, Chad (Kate) Bollard of Atlanta, Georgia, Amber (Garrett) Hatfield, of Rock Hill, South Carolina; four great-grandchildren, Logan Jones, Elijah Bollard, Ella Bollard and Harper Hatfield; two sisters, Eunice Hanna of Harrisville and Bonita Hopkins of Hemphill, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by first husband, Gerald Gilliland; second husband, Jerry Bollard; third husband, Frank Walther; sister, Pearl Braun; and two brothers, Hubert and Richard Swafford.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Hwy 6, Linesville. A funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. John Hodge officiating.
Burial will be private at Penn Line Cemetery.
