Marleen Ruth (Fischer) Devine

     Marleen Ruth (Fischer) Devine, 71, of Conneautville, graduated on to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 3, 2023, at her residence.  One day we will meet together in Heaven!

     Born April 14, 1951, in Fairview, she was the daughter of Albert and Lois (Cunningham) Fischer.  She married Gerald Calvin Devine on July 26, 1969, at Weis Library Church in Fairview. 

     She graduated from Fairview High School in 1969.  She was a loving and devoted homemaker.

     Marleen was a member of the United Church of Beaver Center in Springboro.  She loved reading her bible, going to church and teaching children God’s word.  Marleen gave her heart to Jesus Christ sitting at her grandfather John Fischer’s feet watching Billy Graham.   

     She liked tending to her flowers.  Marleen enjoyed word games, yard sales, shopping at bent and dent stores, organizing things, watching cooking shows and home remodeling shows.  She was a great cook, devoted wife and a loving mother.

     Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Rev. Gerald Calvin Devine; a son, Aaron Jason Devine of Jackson Center; six grandchildren, Donnie J. Devine and his wife, Kyrstin, Brittany Wilson and her husband, Brett, Emma Ace and her husband, Johnathan, Andrew Devine, Levi Devine and Ethan Devine; four great-grandchildren, Bridger Devine, Brynleigh Devine, Sophia Wilson and Amelia Wilson, a nephew, Michael Fischer of Fairview; and many other nieces and nephews. 

     She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, John Calvin Devine; a pre-term baby, Jeremy Devine; a brother, Thomas Fischer and his wife, Sue; and a nephew, Scott Fischer.

     The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 11 from 2 until 5 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.  A funeral service at the funeral home will follow on Tuesday at 5 p.m. with Rev. Bill Snyder officiating.    

     Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Grahamville Cemetery 8580 Findley Lake Road, Northeast.
