Karen Ruth Moss

     Karen Ruth Moss, 66, of Linesville went to be with Jesus, surrounded by her loving family, on September 8, 2021. 

     Karen was born in East Cleveland and grew up in Willowick, Ohio.  She moved to Linesville, Pennsylvania in 2005.  Karen was employed as Office Manager at the Linesville Borough and had worked there from 1998 until 2020. 

     She belonged to the Ashtabula Pentecostal Church of God.  She lived for her children and grandchildren.  She loved all her dogs, cats and other animals she had cared for over the years. 

     She is survived by her husband of 26 years, whom she married on April 1, 1995, Joel Morgan Moss.  Her oldest daughter, Stacey Dawn Gelofsack and her husband, Mitch Scott Gelofsack.  Her middle daughter, Shannon LaRae Piper and her husband, Brandon Piper.  She loved her two son-in-law’s like sons.  Her youngest son, Shane Bradley Louis Markel and his wife, Megan Markel.  The loves of her life where her six grandchildren, Gwen Renee’ Gelofsack, Grace LaRae Gelofsack, Ellie Nicole Markel, Emily Dawn Markel, Brantley Shane Markel and Vera Grace Piper.

     She was preceded in death by her father, Herbert Henry Weiss, her precious mother, Ruth Ann Weber, Weiss, Licht and her step-father, Hank Licht. 

     The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 12, from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Ashtabula Pentecostal Church of God, 2201 Cook Road, Ashtabula, Ohio.  A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. Sunday at the church with Rev. Kenneth Roberts officiating. 

     In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to any animal rescue or to Karen’s church building fund.   

     Arrangements are under the direction of Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
