Gary Richard Hartzell

     Gary Richard Hartzell, 61, formerly of Linesville passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at his home following an extended illness.  He was born November 4, 1961, in Meadville, PA, the son of Richard and Donna (Smith) Hartzell.  

     He was a 1980 graduate of Linesville High School, Linesville, PA.  Gary was known for his artistic abilities and his paintings and murals throughout NW PA. One of Gary’s favorite things was Monday family nights and spending time with his brothers and nieces and nephew.

     He is survived by his three brothers, Randall (Sandra) Hartzell, Estero, FL, Ronald (Tammy) Hartzell, Guys Mills, PA, Brian (Leanne) Hartzell, Andover, OH, his sister-in-law Belinda Hartzell, Sarasota, FL, and niece Kristy Arrigan, Williamsfield, OH.  He is also survived by his nephew and nieces: Thomas Hartzell, Kylie (Jordyn) Jagels, Jennifer Hartzell, Karissa Hartzell, and great-nieces: Meghan Arrigan and Amanda Arrigan.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Denis Hartzell, nephew Chad Hartzell, and niece Karla Hartzell.

     A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Linesville Cemetery, Wallace Avenue, Linesville, Pennsylvania with Robert Gears officiating.  After the service there will be a time of sharing stories and memories of Gary. 

     Arrangements are under the direction of Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
