Darlene Lee Irwin, 77, of Meadville, passed away after a lengthy illness on February 24, 2022, surrounded by her loving family at the Meadville Medical Center.
She was born December 12, 1944 in Meadville. She married Gary Irwin on November 21, 1962 at the Linesville United Methodist Church.
Darlene graduated from Linesville-Conneaut-Summit High School in 1962. She was a member of Littles Corners United Methodist Church.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and cherished the time she spent with family.
Darlene enjoyed cooking, gardening and had a love for animals.
Survivors include her loving husband of 59 years, Gary Irwin; mother, Regina Kleinfeld of Florida; two daughters, Tammy (Scott) Holston and Yvonne Dorau both of North Carolina; son, Robert (Melissa) Irwin of Colorado; six grandchildren, Rebecca Irwin, James (Emma) Holston, Rob Irwin, Allyson Holston, Tiffany Dorau and Brandon Dorau; two great-grandchildren, Graham and Wylee Holston; half-brother, Ronald Kleinfeld; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Bertha Bullis and an aunt, Nancy Jo Busko.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Littles Corners United Methodist Church, 15382 State Hwy 198, Meadville, Pa 16335.
A memorial service will follow at 4 p.m. at the church with Pastor Larry Miller officiating.
At a later date, a private graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Harmonsburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Littles Corners United Methodist Church attn: Youth Fund.
Arrangements are under the direction of Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, Linesville.
