Obituary

 

     Anthony J. (Tony) Smith, 68, of Conneaut Lake, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer. 

     Born January 10, 1955, in Buffalo, New York, he was the son of Donald and Bernice (Worden) Smith.    

     He worked at Molded Fiberglass in Lineville for 47 years.  He was a member of the Pymatuning Sportsman’s Club, the American Legion Post 462, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7842 and the Pine Masonic Lodge 498 all of Linesville. 

     Tony enjoyed hunting and took pride in caring for his yard. 

      Survivors include his loving wife of 24 years, Mary Ann (Beres) Smith, whom he married on April 10, 1999 at the Linesville First Baptist Church; daughter, April Hayes and her husband, Ersel, of South Dakota; step-daughter, Rachel Callahan and her husband, Patrick, of Conneaut Lake; two grandchildren, Tyler and Ayden; sister, Diane Irwin of Florida; brother, Charles Foust and his wife, Lisa, of Conneaut Lake; and several nieces and nephews.

     He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Smith, his mother, Bernice Foust and his step-father, Charles Foust. 

     A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.

     Memorial contributions may be made to the Yolanda Barco Oncology Institute, 16792 Conneaut Lake Road, Meadville, Pa 16335.

     Arrangements are under the direction of Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U. S. Highway 6, Linesville.
