Albert Irl Moss

     Albert Irl Moss, 69, of Linesville, passed away after a short but well fought battle with small cell lung cancer on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Pittsburgh.

     Born October 15, 1952, in Meadville Pa, to Albert Edward and Shirley Irene (Hill) Moss.

     Albert graduated from Edgewood High School in Ashtabula. He served in the United States Marine Corp then attended Penn State and received an associate degree in architectural engineering.  He was a lifelong carpenter and for the last several years worked in maintenance for the Federal Aviation Administration and also the Pittsburgh and Erie VA locations. He retired just last year.

     He spent a majority of the time since driving to visit his oldest son in the Army and crossing some traveling destinations off his bucket list.  He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and liked to read the Bible with Chandra.

     Survivors include his loving wife, Chandra D. (Klinginsmith) Moss and three children, Sarah Hoffman (Jonathan), Brian Moss (Isabella) and Timothy Moss; five granddaughters, Katelynn, Abbigail, Amelia, Genevieve and Kasey; and a brother, Joel Moss; and several nieces and nephews.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Nancy Moss and a sister-in-law, Karen Moss.

     Calling hours will be Wednesday, February 9 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville. A service will begin at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor John Sandau, of the Lighthouse Community Church in Conneaut Lake, officiating.  Full military honors will follow the service.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Honor of Albert to the Fisher House Foundation. They provide comfort housing where military and veterans families can stay for free while a loved one is in the hospital.
