Zola M. (Schlosser) Gillette

Zola M. Gillette, 87, of Linesville, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2020, at UPMC Hamot in Erie.

Born March 29, 1932, in Saegertown, she was the daughter of Charles and Grace Roberts Schlosser.  She married Clarence (Gene) Gillette on September 30, 1951 in Mosiertown.  He preceded her in death on February 15, 2013.

She owned and operated Zola Gillette Beauty Studio since 1966 and retired in 1995.

Zola was a member of the Linesville First Baptist Church.  She enjoyed golfing, cooking, playing cards and card games on her computer.  She cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, David P. Gillette and his wife, Denise, of Linesville and Bruce D. Gillette of Linesville; three grandchildren, Season Hintz and her husband, Wesley, of Columbia, South Carolina, Chad Gillette of Linesville and Megan Mead and her husband, Rob, of Linesville; nine great-grandchildren, Marisa, Landen, Faith, Christian, James, Grace, Benjamin, Andrew and Abigail; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Thelma Miller and Elsie Seneta; and a brother, Blaine Schlosser.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Linesville First Baptist Church, 6114 U.S. Hwy 6, Linesville.

The funeral will follow at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church, with Pastor Larry Hiles officiating.

Burial will be private in Linesville Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U. S. Highway 6, Linesville.
