Wilma Jean (Surrarrer) Angerer

Wilma Jean Angerer, 89, of Linesville, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at her residence.

Born December 22, 1924, in Strongsville, Ohio, she was the daughter of Archie and Edith Bolten Surrarrer.  She married Joseph Edmund Angerer on February 11, 1978, at the Linesville United Methodist Church.  He preceded her in death on July 11, 2005.

She was a 1942 graduate of Chatham High School in Medina County, Ohio.  For eleven years, Wilma had worked as a nurse’s aide at Rolling Fields in Conneautville.

She was a member of the Linesville United Methodist Church.  Wilma enjoyed crocheting, knitting, doing embroidery and making quilts.

Survivors include six children, Barbara Wheeler and her husband, Tom, of Cole Camp, Missouri, Michael Scranton and his wife, Peggy, of Conneaut Lake, Robert Scranton and his wife, Sue, of Conneautville, Bonita White of Linesville, Rebecca Esteppe of Mount Sterling, Kentucky and Clark Peters and his wife, Beth, of North East; two step-sons, Joey and Leroy Angerer both of Walterboro, South Carolina; 20 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ira Surrarrer and his wife, LaRue, of Spencer, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Timothy Scranton and Charles Thomas Pero; a grandson, Bobby Scranton; five brothers, Archie, Everett, James, Wilbert and Van Rausler; and three sisters, Aura, Beatrice and Thelma.

Calling hours will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at R oyal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.

A funeral service will be held following the calling hours at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Dennis E. Lawton of the Linesville United Methodist Church officiating.

Private burial will be in Linesville Cemetery.
