William L. Williams

     William L. Williams, affectionately known as Willy or Larry, age 81, of Linesville, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Rolling Fields Eldercare Community in Conneautville, following a courageous and long battle with complications related to diabetes.

     Born November 13, 1943, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of William Clyde and Irma (Reese) Williams. He dedicated 34 years to the U.S. Postal Service as a collections driver and retired in 2001.

     He was known as a gentle giant, characterized by his quiet demeanor and witty humor. Willy embodied selflessness and often put the needs of his family before his own, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and many close friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

     Survivors include his loving wife, Gloria M. Williams; his children, Lisa Williams, Bill Williams, Jeffrey Williams (Sara), Bekah Williams (Ryan), Joseph Grover, Debbie Riggs (Rich), Denise Weaver, Dawn Mooney (Bill), John Lion and Jennifer Hughes (G); 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald Williams (Gail); several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Riley.

     He was preceded in death by his parents and his former wife, Sandra J. Williams.

     The family is planning a celebration of his life at a later date.

     Memorial donations may be made in William’s name to the Crawford County Humane Society, 11012 Kennedy Hill Road, Meadville, Pa 16335.

     The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Rolling Fields Hospice for the compassionate care they provided for William and their unwavering support to the family during this difficult time.

     Arrangements are under the direction of Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
