William M. Harshaw

     William M. Harshaw, 90, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026.

     Bill was born on November 24, 1935 in Meadville, Pennsylvania, the third child and only son of William Albert Harshaw and Emmabelle Melvin. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Geraldine Cowden (Gerry). He is survived by a sister Margaret L. Dear (Peggy) of Charlotte, North Carolina, a sister Constance M. Gentle (Connie) of Malakoff, Texas and a sister Sandra L. Rhoades (Sandy) of Lakeside, California. He is survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

     Bill graduated from Conneaut Lake High School in 1954 and entered the United States Army in 1955 and served until 1958. He returned to Linesville, Pennsylvania and continued his life long love of cars by becoming a Master Mechanic, auto body repairman and collector and restorer of classic cars.

     In 1960, Bill married Willene Corey of Linesville. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gail Corey of Linesville. Pennsylvania. They had two children Michael McIntyre of Volant, Pennsylvania and Port Charlotte, Florida, and Robin Novak of Ocala, Florida.

     Bill had a wonderful sense of humor and loved life, sports, and particularly auto racing. He will be missed by all his family and friends.
