Wayne Carl Garlick, 82, of Linesville, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018, at the Meadville Medical Center.
Born December 15, 1935, in Beaver Center, he was the son of William G. and Iris E. Cole Garlick. He married Elizabeth M. (Betty) Phyllis on June 8, 1956 in Springboro.
Wayne was a 1954 graduate of Conneautville High School. He had worked for the former Talon Company in Meadville and then the Borough of Linesville as water and sewer superintendent until moving to part-time in 2008, and retiring in 2014.
He was a member of the Linesville United Methodist Church.
Wayne enjoyed working in his yard and gardening. He had also previously served 24 years on the Linesville Borough Council.
Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Elizabeth (Betty) Garlick; two children, Cindy L. Robinson and her husband, Tom, of Linesville and Timothy W. Garlick and his wife, Elaine, of Andover, Ohio; four grandchildren, Betsy Owen and her husband, Eric, of Philadelphia, Chuck Robinson of Linesville, Stephanie Garlick of Meadville and Sam Garlick of Pittsburgh; two step-grandsons, Carl Robinson and his wife, Sonya, of New Castle and Michael Robinson and his wife, Monica, of Bedford, Texas; his brothers and sister, Bill Garlick and his wife, Diane, of Springboro, Kenny Garlick of Springboro, Philip Garlick and his wife, Norma, of Saint Stephen, South Carolina, Howard Garlick and his wife, Nancy, of Springboro, David Garlick and his wife, Carol, of Greenville and Ethel Penfield and her husband, Bob, of Springboro; a sister-in-law, Judy Garlick of Springboro; a special nephew, John Wells and his fiancée, Cindy, of Linesville; and countless other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Henry Garlick of Springboro.
As per Wayne’s wishes, cremation was chosen and no services will be held at this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Linesville Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 55, Linesville, Pa 16424.
Arrangements are under the direction of Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
