Shirley E. (Funk) Williams

Shirley E. Williams, 56, of Hartstown, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2014, at her residence after a courageous four year battle with breast cancer.

Born October 17, 1957, in Youngstown, Ohio, she was the daughter of Warren and Lena McGrady Funk.  She married Tom Williams on July 10, 2004, at the Espyville United Methodist Church.

She worked at Andover Industries for over 26 years as an operator and material handler.  For a few years, Shirley had also worked for the Conneaut school district as a custodian and in the school cafeteria.

Shirley was a member of the Espyville United Methodist Church where she served as secretary and also on the administrative council board for several years.  She helped lead the Girl Scouts for nine years with her daughter, Laureen.

She enjoyed gardening and collecting eagle, sailboat, and lighthouse figurines.  Shirley had a love for animals and enjoyed being around children.  She loved spending time with her family and friends and cherished her grandchildren.

Survivors include her loving husband, Tom Williams; her parents, Warren and Lena Funk of Linesville; two daughters, Cindy Caszatt and her boyfriend, Rodd Collins, of Orwell, Ohio and Laureen Jerome and her husband, Ryan, of Conneaut Lake; three grandchildren, Robert Caszatt and his fiancé, Chelsea Bickel, of Greenville, Brooke Caszatt of Jamestown and Connor Jerome of Conneaut Lake; three sisters, Barbara Eshbaugh of Linesville, Katherine Ziems and her husband, Ron, of Largo, Florida and Frances Santarelli and her husband, Thomas, of Linesville; a brother, Paul Funk and his wife, Christine, of Parma, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Espyville United Methodist Church, 1764 Chapel Rd., Espyville.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Espyville United Methodist Church with Pastor Theresa Robison officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
