Ronald P. Vennare, 73, of Linesville, unexpectedly went home to heaven on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at the Meadville Medical Center.

Born February 16, 1941, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Samuel and Esther Ciccone Vennare.  He married Marilyn Bumer on June 21, 1969 in Mount Lebanon.

Ron served our country in the United States Army and Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1968.  He recently worked for the Greater Erie Auto Auction and dealt with heavy equipment.  He previously had worked for Smith-Gray Auto in Meadville and was an entrepreneur for many businesses during his lifetime.

He was a member of the Greenville First Baptist Church and was involved in the after school programs for the youth at the church.  Ron had helped organize the Linesville area youth group called “The Gap.”  He was a former member of the Linesville Borough Council for 15 years.  He was a member of the NRA and the Italian Civic Club in Meadville.  Ron cherished his wife, children and grandchildren and loved his dogs.

First and foremost was his deep faith in God and he eagerly shared his faith with family, friends and strangers.  He touched many lives with his faith and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Marilyn Vennare; a son, Stephen Vennare and his wife, Nichole, of Conneaut Lake; a daughter, Samantha Paskorz and her husband, Aaron, of Conneautville; six grandchildren, Isabella, Emily, Courtney and Nicholas Vennare and Alex and Chase Paskorz; a sister, Maryann Neukom of Houston, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Calling hours will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the Greenville First Baptist Church,  60 Shenango Street, Greenville with Pastor  David Cox of the church officiating.

Burial with full military honors provided by the Huidekoper Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2006 will be in Linesville Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home, 6028 U.S. Hwy 6, Linesville, Pa 16424.
