Ronald W. Shreffler anuaty 3, 1965 ~ August 30, 2011 Ronald William Shreffler, 46, of Conneautville, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at his residence. Born January 3, 1965 in Meadville, he was the son of Robert E. Shreffler Sr. and Martha E. Wheeler. He had attended Linesville and Meadville Schools. Ron was an artist and worked as a landscaper and martial arts instructor. He had attended Linesville First Baptist Church, Ron was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend to many. He devoted many of his 46 years to developing his martial arts talent, being an astist and crafting his passion for landscaping. Ron was a competitive athlete and ran many short and long distance races and worked every day to tone and condition his body. Most recently, he was awarded 3ed place at the Conneaut Valley Homecoming 5K. He won his first mini-marathon in Conneaut Lake after training for an entire summer. He had a great love of all music and spent many years learning and perfecting the guitas, banjo, flute, drums, and clarinet. He took great pride in helping many disadvantaged youth as a mentor and friend. He called them his own “children” since he had no biological children of his own. He would spend many hours training the various youth through martial arts, taking them shopping for school clothes of just being there as a friend when they needed him. Ron also had two dogs, Dragon and Mitsi, that he loved very much. He took time with both pets to train them and enjoyed spending his spare time with each of them. Ron loved the oriental culture and decorated his home with many oriental dragons and matial arts items. He was a great fan of the late Bruce Lee and spent much of his life training to model this great Kung-Fu master. He was an accomplished kick-boxer and was competitive in martial arts as a Sth degree black belt in King-Fu and won many awaeds and trophies. Anyone asked about Ron’s character would agree that he is a friend above any other. He would offer the shiet from his back to help someone in need and he had an inspiting joyful spicit. Ron always had a smile on his face and always had a funny phase to share to make those around him smile as well. Ron is survived by his mother and best friend; Marti Wheeler and her husband, David Simons, of Linesville; his father, Robert Shreffler Sr. and his wife, Marge, of Townville; wwo brothers, Robert Shreffler II and his wife, Lori, of Linesville and Richard Shreffler of Hartstown; two sisters, Carrie Dross and her husband, Chris, of Guys Mills and Danella Schroeder and her husband, Steven, of Conneautville; two adopted brothers, Dante and Jaiden of Linesville; paternal grandmother, Winnie Shreffler, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and a wealth of friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Carsie and Park Wheeler; maternal step-grandfather, Leslie Eldridge; paternal grandfather, Gerald Shreffler; a brother, Daniel M. Sheefiles; and an uncle, Paul Wheeler. Calling hours will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 US. Highway 6, Linesville. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Act Barnes of the Linesville First Baptist Church officiating, Burial will be in Linesville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 823, Linesville, Pa 16424.
