Robert (Bob) Andrew Palko, 85, of Espyville, PA, formerly of West Mifflin, PA passed away on June 16, 2025, at the Meadville Medical Center.
Bob was born in West Mifflin on September 21, 1939 to Stephen J. and Pauline B. (Puskar) Palko. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served his country honorably from 1962-1965 as a Sergeant with the 256th and 532nd Signal Corp in France. He was a retired detective for the West Mifflin Police Department, a Fire Chief and Lifetime Active Member of the Homeville Volunteer Fire Department and Lifetime Active Member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #91.
On November 27, 1965, he married Kathleen Lanagan and had two children. They enjoyed their time at their cottage in Tuttle Allotment and boating on Pymatuning Lake. Bob loved going golfing with his friend Cliff and socializing at the VFW in Linesville.
His surviving relatives are his daughter, Lisa Palko of West Mifflin with sons, Zion and Richard. His son Robert J. Palko and daughter-in-law, Jennifer, who live in Linesville, PA. Bob was so proud of his eldest grandchildren, Hannah Palko, serving in the U.S. Navy and Keith (Karli) Palko serving in the U.S. Army. His brother, Thomas (Francine) Palko lives in West Mifflin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Kathleen, and his brothers, Stephen J. Palko Jr. and Richard G. Palko.
Arrangements are under the direction of Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
Per his wishes, no viewing will be held and a service will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, PA at a date to be determined.
