     Richard T. Rodgers, 56, of Meadville, passed away, Thursday July 31, 2025, at UPMC Hamot in Erie, due to an accident on Monday, July 28.  Rich’s final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through organ donation.

     He was born September 21, 1968, in Long Branch, New Jersey. Rich was a 1987 graduate of Linesville High School. He then graduated with a Bachelor’s in Business from Slippery Rock University. Rich also earned a Master’s in Special Education from Edinboro University.

     He currently worked as a mental health counselor at Meadville Medical Center. He also did crisis counseling throughout Northwest Pennsylvania.

     Rich had attended Linesville First Baptist Church. He was an avid gamer. Rich was a sports enthusiast and loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins.

     Survivors include three siblings, Kenny Rodgers and his wife, Karen, of Linesville, Kelley Pennock of Leesburg, Florida and Kimberley Carne and her husband, David, of Fruitland Park, Florida; six nieces and nephews, Frank Knize of Mercer, James Pennock of Minerva, Ohio, Jared Pennock and his wife, Kaitlyn of Whidbey Island, Washington, and Alyssa, Angela and David Carne of Fruitland Park, Florida; and five great-nieces and nephews, Saphira, Aria, Asher, Adrian and Ashlynn.

     He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Richard and Joan (Pasikoski) Rodgers; brother, Chris Rodgers; significant other, Rochelle Czulewicz-Bogue; biological parents, Harold and Kimiko Rodgers; and his grandparents.

     Calling hours will be Friday, August 8 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.

     A funeral service will follow on Friday at 6 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Tracy Ferrie of the Linesville First Baptist Church, officiating.

     The family suggests memorial contributions may be made in Rich’s honor to Crawford County Drug and Alcohol Executive Commission, 920 Water St., Suite 12, Meadville, Pa 16335 or Stepping Stones, 1034 Grove St., Meadville, Pa 16335.
