Patricia "Patty" Jean Sherman

     It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia “Patty” Jean Sherman, age 57, of Conneaut Lake, on August 13, 2026, at her home.

     Patty was a Class of 1987 graduate of Conneaut Lake High School and went on to obtain a nurse aide diploma from Commonwealth Technical Institute at the Hiram G. Andrews Center in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Later in life, she attended Laurel Institutes Online School of Healthcare in Meadville, where she trained for a second related career.

     Patty was a devoted nurse’s aide who cared for the elderly for the majority of her career and, in recent years, used her talents to care for her elderly mother. She served her residents with patience, compassion and a gentle heart. She loved to travel, camp, bake and cook, spend time with friends, and enjoy the simple blessings of time with those she loved.

     Patty is survived by her mother, Elizabeth “Betty” Jean Sherman of Conneaut Lake; her brother, Jim Sherman and sister-in-law, Kristi, of Harmonsburg; her sister, Karen Finlan and brother-in-law, Mike, of Bellefonte; nephews, Zachary, Brandon, Michael (Danielle), Benjamin and niece, Katherine; great niece and great-nephew, Cecilia and Luca; also an uncle and aunt, Bob and Lynn Myers and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Jim.

     Those who were fortunate to know her will forever remember her beautiful smile and kind heart. May we find comfort in knowing that Patty is now at peace and in the presence of her Lord and Savior. Thank you to all who loved Patty well and called her friend.

     A private celebration of Patty’s life will be held for family and close friends.

     Arrangements are under the direction of Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
