Patricia Luanna (Hart) Bernat
January 15, 1952 — July 20, 2017
Patricia LuAnna (Hart) Bernat, 65, of Linesville, was born January 15, 1952, and passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2017, after a 5-year struggle with cancer.
The daughter of Walter E. and LuAnna M. Hart, formerly of Linesville, she graduated from Linesville Conneaut Summit High School in 1969. She married Peter E. Bernat, of Linesville, on December 27, 1969, at St. Philip Roman Catholic Church in Linesville.
She attended LPN school at Spencer Hospital and spent her nursing career working at Spencer Hospital and worked at the doctor’s offices of Dr. Robert Symons, and Dr. Victor Farrah. She also worked briefly at Ohio Rubber Co. and Andover Industries Inc.
She enjoyed being with friends and family, especially her two daughters, Amy M. Woods and husband, Terry, and Mary Margaret E. Caragan and husband, Napoleon, both of Norfolk, Virginia. Her greatest joy was spending time with her three grandchildren, Christopher Woods, Victoria Woods and Andrew Caragan. She also left behind three sisters, Donna Seiler, Becky Jane Pavlik, Carol Ann Kane, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Dale and Douglas Hart.
She loved to keep busy with cross stitch, sewing, watching football and traveling. She will always be remembered for her caring heart, love of family and always putting others first.
Friends and family can call on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
A Mass of Resurrection will be Celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at St. Philip Roman Catholic Church, 401 S. Mercer St., Linesville followed by interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Conneautville. All are invited to continue to celebrate her life with a luncheon at St. Peter’s social hall following the interment.
The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Knights of Columbus at St. Peter Church, 501 Washington St, Conneautville, Pa 16406.
