Michael James Brown June 11, 1945 ~ March 15, 2012 Michael James Brown, 66, of Phoenix, passed away unexpectedly on ‘Thursday, March 15, 2012. He was a beloved father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Born June 11, 1945, the son of the late James Leonard and Pauline Brown. In 1963, he graduated from Warren Harding High School in Warren, Ohio. Mike was retired from Schlesinger Associates. He enjoyed volunteering at The Gallery @ City Hall. He was a friend and respected patron at Macalpines Soda Fountain, where he was treated like family. He had a passion for music, especially Martin guitars. He also enjoyed caring for his friend’s pets. Most of all, Mike cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren, friends and family. Survivors include his daughter, Stacy Pugliese and her husband, Steve, his grandchildren, Sophia and Simon, all of Pens nia; his niece Salina (Brown) Spurlin, her husband Brian and their children Bryce and Kendyll of Ohio; and his cousins, Rita Heilmann and Mickey Bayer. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother James (Len) Brown. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions can be made in Mike’s name to a school music program of the donor's choice or the Arizona Humane Society.
