Mary Chelsea Streza May 3, 1918 ~ December 11, 2011
Mary Chelsea Streza, 93, formerly of Espyville, Pa, died, Dec. 11, 2011, at Andover Village in Andover, Ohio.
Born May 3, 1918 in Massillon, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Philip Chelsea and Sarah Rafila Serbu. She married Charles Streza on Sept. 26, 1942; he preceded her in death on Nov. 26, 1980.
Mary was a loving and devoted homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary Romanian Catholic Church in. McKeesport. She had also attended Most Holy Trinity in Chesterland, Ohio.
Survivors include a son, Thomas Streza (Sandy) of Andover, Ohio; two grandchildren, Michael (Elizabeth) Steeza and Carolyn (Ryan) Bromberg; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Vieginia Lupu of Cortland, Ohio; a brother, Victor Chelsea of Champion, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Philip Chelsea and a grandson, Thomas Streza.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Romanian Catholic Church, 318 26th St., McKeesport with Father Paul L. Voida as celebrant. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow in McKeesport and Versailles Cemetery.
