Mark G. Hanna, 55, of Harstown, died Sunday, October 10, 2010 due toa kayaking accident in the Gauley River in West Vieginia. Bom December 7, 1954 in Meadville, he was the son of George W. and Martha Kellogg Hanna. He marsied Regina Buttice on September 16, 1972 in Linesville. He was a 1972 graduate of Conneaut Lake High School and then graduated from Penn State University. He was co-owner and president of MicroTool and Manufacturing, Inc. and MicroPlastics Inc. in Meadville. Mark was a member of the East Fallowfield United Methodist Church in Atlantic. He was a board member of NTMA and the Three Rivers Paddling Club. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed backpacking, hunting, kayaking, playing volleyball, camping, cycling, and had completed his first triathlon in June. Mack cherished spending time with and being a Poppa to his grandchildren. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Survivors include his loving wife of 38 years, Regina Hanna; his parents, George and Martha Hanne of Haststown; a son, Jeremy Hanna and his wife Amanda of Fairfax, VA; a daughter, Nicole Grable and her husband Lee of Sharon; thee grandchildren, Hannah and Easton Grable, and Lily Hanna; a brother, Gary Hanna and his wife Massha of Greenville; a sister, Jane McCurdy and her husband, John of Greenville; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Helen and Otto Kellogg and Olive and Mont Hanna; an aunt, Irene Noel. Calling hours will be Thursday, October 14, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9pm at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028. US. pees 6, Linesville, PA. A funeral service will be at 11am on Friday, October 15, 2010 with Reverend Karen Gray of the East Fallowfield United Methodist Church officiating, ‘The family suggests memorial contributions may be made in Mark's name to the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, 800 Waterfront Dx., Pittsburgh, PA 15222 or the West Virginia River Coalition, 329 Davis Ave. Suite 7, Elkins, WV 26241.
