Marian V. Godsave

Marian V. Godsave September 24, 1928 - March 15, 201 Marian V. Godsave, 82, passed away, Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Crawford County Care Center in Saegertown, where she had resided the past one and a half years. Born September 24, 1928 in Canoe Ridge, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Elizabeth McCracken States. She married Robert T. Godsave on November 19, 1983 in Linesville; he preceded her in death on June 17, 1999. Marian was of the Protestant faith, She was a loving and devoted homemaker. She was a formes member of the Ladies Auxiliasy at the Linesville Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 7842 and the Linesville American Legion, Post 462. Also, she was a former member of the Pymatuning Sportsman's Club in Linesville. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, going to yard sales and sightseeing locally. Marian loved playing cards with her family. Survivors include two daughters, Vesta Delong and her husband, Donald, of Akron, Ohio and Catherine DeBanco ‘of Meadville; three sons, Marshall States of El Paso, Texas, Virgil States and his wife, Charlene, of Linesville and Bruce States of Hickernell; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert, three children, Janet States, Lester States and Christine Holler; and seven siblings. As per her wishes, cremation was chosen and a graveside memorial service will be held 5 p.m. Monday at Linesville Cemetery with Pastor Joel Weck of the Linesville First Baptist Church officiating, The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Linesville Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 7842, 6913 Gehrton Rd., Linesville, Pa 16424. Arrangements are under the direction of Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 US. Highway 6, Linesville.
