Lois LaJeanne (Lolo or Creaky) Lockhart, 85, of Linesville, passed away, Monday, October 24, 2011, at the Meadville Medical Center.
Lois was born on July 13, 1926 in Duquesne, Pa, to William Maxwell and Stella Louise Linn Morgan. She moved to Linesville in May of 1942 and married James Luke Lockhart in October of 1945. He preceded her in death on January 5, 1990.
She was a member of the Linesville United Methodist Church. Lois loved to cook and did so in many local restaurants most recently at the Driftwood Restaurant and White’s Catering Service both in Linesville. For several years she owned and operated The Four Seasons Restaurant in Linesville. She loved to go to casinos and play the slots and was a familiar face at local bingos.
Lois in survived by two sisters, June L. Morgan and Shirley White both of Linesville. Above all she loved her family and although she never had any children she was a second mother to many including several nieces and nephews and many great and great-great nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a brother, William Richard (Hoppy) Morgan.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 US. Highway 6, Linesville. ‘The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Russell Hines, United Methodist Minister, officiating. Burial will be private in Linesville Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made in Lois’s name to the Linesville Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance Service, PO Box 55, Linesville, Pa. 16424.
