Lois Marion Fries b= | September 2, 1919 ~ December 26, 2011
Lois Marion Maloney Fries, 92, of Espyville, passed away Monday, December 26, 2011, at Meadville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center where she had resided the past five years.
Born September 2, 1919 in McDonald, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of William and Anna Simpson Maloney. She marsied Edward (Eppy) J. Fries on June 20, 1938; he
preceded her in death on December 4, 1992.
She was a graduate of North Shenango Schools. Al with her husband she owned and operated the Line: Roller Rink, Hickory Grove Apple Orchasd, and a gas station in Espyville.
Lois was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the North Shenango Voluntees Fire Department and the North Shenango Senior Citizens. She was an avid bingo player, enjoyed gardening and was an animal lover. She loved to pick her bluebersies, black berries, chestauts, walnuts, fruits and vegetables. Lois was a wondesful baker and loved to bake pies, decorate wedding cakes, and make homemade candies. She enjoyed doing crafts including ceramics,
crocheting and plastic canvas, and she collected sea shells.
Lois was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmothers, and great-great-grandmothes. She created so many memories over the years with her family and friends. She was loved by all and will be sadly missed.
Survivors include her children, Ed Fries and his wife, Nancy, of Syracuse, New York and theis children, Eddy, Andy, Robin, Cheryl, Karen, Robert and Kathy; Dorothy Mahoney of Erie, and her children, Cindy & Shawn:
Bill Fries and his wife, Helen, of Espyville, and their daughters, Lisa, Kim, Kelly and Nicole; Dick Fries and his wife, Debbie, of Geneva, and their children, Stacey, Heather, Stephanie and Stacey; Joe Fries and his wife, Laura, of Hartstown, and their children, Shannon, Lois and Jamie; Linda Fries and her companion,
Bob Thompson, of Espyville, and her daughters,
Brandy and Michelle; Jim Fries and his companion, Jesus Catre, of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Phyllis Senderak and her husband, Tim, of Avon, Connecticut and their daughter, Alise; son-in-law, Al Rose, of Cleveland, Ohio and his daughter, Debbie; 52 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward; a daughter Barbara (Babe) Rose, 4 sisters, a twin sister Phyllis, Gretchen, Ethel, and Zelda; and a brother, James Jay Maloney.
Calling houss will be Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 US. Highway 6, Linesville. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev: John Gelnett, Methodist Minister and friend of the family officiating:
Burial will be private in Espyville Cemetery.
