Julie Anne Birch Kerstetter, 49, of Fountain, Florida formerly of Linesville, passed away, after a courageous three year battle with cancer, on Thursday, August 22, 2013, at her residence with her loving family at her side.  She had resided in Florida for the past seven years.

Born January 17, 1964, in Newport, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of James Jr. and Joyce Grove Birch.  She married Richard Lynn Kerstetter on November 21, 1988.

She was of the Catholic faith.

Julie was a graduate of Meadville High School in 1982.

For several years, she drove school bus for Conneaut School District and as a tour guide in Ashtabula County, Ohio.  She also drove school bus in Fountain, Florida.   She loved interacting with the children on her school bus.

Julie enjoyed putting together puzzles, reading and traveling.  She loved her three dogs.  She cherished her husband and children more than anything in life and will be greatly missed by them.

Survivors include her loving husband of 24 years, Richard Lynn Kerstetter; her two children, Tyler and Tonya; her father, James Birch Jr. and his wife, Donna, of Meadville; three brother-in-law’s, Robert Kerstetter and his wife, Deb, of Yulee, Florida, Frank Kerstetter and his wife, Edie, of Linesville, and Roger Kerstetter of Linesville; three sister-in-law’s, Kathy Wilson of Memphis, Tennessee, Deborah Maloney of Meadville and Darlene Huffman and her husband, Patrick, of Linesville; her special aunts and uncle, Karen and Terry Grove and Judy Birch all of Butler; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Birch; her grandparents, James Sr. and Amelia Birch; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Frank and Marion Kerstetter; and an uncle, Charles Birch.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Father Chris Hamlett of St. Philip Roman Catholic Church in Linesville officiating.

Burial will be in Linesville Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to a Hospice of your choosing.

The family would like to honor and thank the special people at Covenant Hospice in Florida for the loving care they gave to Julie.  They would also like to thank the Bay County Bus Company and the Green Circle Bio Energy for their support for the family during this difficult time.
