Joyce Marie Jesse, 79, of Merritt Island, Florida, formally of Linesville, passed away Friday, April 26, 2013, at Vitas Inpatient Hospice of Courtenay Springs Village, Merritt Island.

Born November 25, 1933 in Sharon, she was the daughter of Henry and Thelma Cole Gregg. She married Richard Jesse on August 18, 1951; he preceded her in death in 1985.

Joyce had attended Linesville High School. She was a loving and devoted homemaker. From 1986 until 1992, she worked as a toll booth attendant in New Hampshire for the Hampton Tolls.

She enjoyed playing bingo. Joyce loved crocheting and making quilts for friends and family.

Survivors include five sons, Alan Jesse and his wife, Diane, of Tiffin, Ohio, David Jesse and his wife, Deb, of Linesville, Robert Jesse and his girlfriend, Mary Garcia, of Conneaut Lake, Daniel Jesse of Linesville and Jon Jesse of Rochester, New Hampshire; nine grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; a sister, Audrey Kessler of Conneaut Lake; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Jesse; a son, Richard L. Jesse; and two brothers, James and Larry Gregg.

As per her request, cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1 at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.  The family will receive friends on Saturday before the service from 10 to 11 a.m.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, Pa 15205-4620.
