seph Ryan (Joey) Phelps July 17, 1978 - February 23, 2011 Joseph Ryan (Joey) Phelps, 32, of Linesville, passed away, Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born July 17, 1978 in Greenville, he was the son of F. Ronald and Jeanette Chapin Phelps. Joey attended Meadville Area Schools. He was of the Catholic faith, ‘Throughout his life he enjoyed pasticipating in the Special Olympics of Crawford County. He was an avid movie buff and enjoyed reciting lines from the movies. Joey was a huge Elvis, Billy Ray Cyrus and Hannah Montana fan. Most of all, his family was very important to him and he loved having family gatherings. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. “Batman Forever” Survivors include his parents, F. Ronald and Jeanette Phelps of Linesville; six brothers and sisters, Dan Phelps and his wife, Dixie, of Linesville, Karen Lynn and her husband, Bill, of Harmonsburg, Sherry Miller and her husband, Jake, of Kane, Sandy Dehart and her husband, Jeff, of Linesville, Valerie Watson of Bellevue, lowa, and Jeff Phelps and his wife, Trudy, of Linesville; 31 nieces and nephews; and 23 great-nieces and nephews. A celebration of Joey’s life will be held Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the home of Dan and Dixie Phelps, 1847 US. Hwy 6, Linesville. Tn lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Special Olympics of Crawford County or the Arc of Crawford County, both at 222 Chestnut St. Meadville, PA 16335. Arrangements are under the direction of Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U. S. Highway 6, Linesville.
