Joseph J. (Sonny) Bryer, Sr. December 9, 1928 - April 30, 2011 Joseph J. (Sonny) Beyer Sr., 82, of Linesville, passed away April 30, 2011 at the Meadville Medical Center after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born December 9, 1928 in Linesville, he was a son of the late Joseph L. and Alma John Bryer. He married Mary Jane Heck and she preceded him in death in 1995. Joseph was 41947 graduate of Linesville High School and he served in the US. Army dusing the Korean Conflict. He worked a8 aidairy farmer on the family farm and owned and operated Sonny Bryer’s Mobile Feed Service. Also, he worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for several years. Joseph was a member of St. Philip Roman Catholie Church and the Knights of Columbus Council 6037. He was a founder and chaster member on the Board of Directors of Palfund. Joseph was charter member in Crawford County for the National Farmer’s Organization. He was a member of the Pioneer Steam and Gas Engine Society of Saegestown and the Linesville Historical Society. Joseph had a passion for farming, He loved his many dogs he had on the farm throughout the years. Survivors include his companion for the last 14 years, Sandra Cook; a son, Joseph J. Bryer Jr. and his wife, Karen, of Linesville; two brothers, Robert W. Bryer Se. of Conneaut Lake and Raymond H. Bryer and his wife, Millie, of Brook Park, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Eileen Morris and her husband, Ronald, of Allison Park; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and two cousins he was close with, Rosemarie Sargent of Erie and Clara Pazey of Linesville. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, sister, Masilyn Hyde, and an infant sister. Calling hots wil be Mondhy from 2 104 and7 to pau atRoyaL Coleman Fuderal Home, 6028 UI Silghway 6, Linesville, A Knights of Columbus service along with a rosary service will be conducted at 3:45p.m. Mass of Chsistian Burial will be celebrated 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Philip Roman Catholic Church, 401 S. Mescer St., Linesville with Father John A. Walsh as celebrant. Busial with full military honors provided by Huidekoper Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 2006 will be in St. Philip Cemetery. ‘The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Knights of Columbus Council 6037, P.O. Box 551, Conneaut Lake, Pa 16316 of to Hospice of Crawford County, 464 Pine St., Meadville, Pa 16335.
