John (Butch) James Cooney

John (Butch) James Cooney, 73, of Espyville, Pa, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2017.  Born Feb. 14, 1944, in Pittsburgh, the son of the late John Patrick and Edith Palmer Cooney.  He served our country in the United States Marine Corps.  Beloved husband of Marjery (Cookie); father of Shayne (Brooke), John Jr. (Jennifer), and Thomas; a special uncle (UB) to Steve Cooney; brother of Jimmy, Edie, and Bobby; loving grandfather of Shayne Michael, Ryleigh Karen, and Tiana James Cooney.   Also preceded in death by his sister, Pat.   Memorials can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
