James "Jim" Edward Gagen Jr.

     James (Jim) Gagen, 74,  of Linesville passed away from complications of the diminishing disease Alzheimer’s on Tuesday, October 6th, 2026. 

     Born September 23rd 1952, he was the son of James and Mary (Cummings) Gagen. He was a 1970 graduate of Kiski Area High School and BS degree from Robert Morris College in 1974. For many years he was shipping supervisor at Tel-0-Post in Linesville. 

     Jim was a member of the VFW Post 7842 on Gehrton Rd. and the Pymatuning Sportsman’s Club. He always enjoyed walking his two favorite fur babies, participating in Friday Night couples leagues, and Sunday morning golf trips with friends. 

     Survivors include his wife, Dorothy (Lasch) Gagen, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David and Connie Lasch, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Erin and Diane (Lasch) Healey, many nieces and nephews. 

     He was preceded in dealth by his father and mother, James and Mary Gagen of Vandergrift, Pa. 

     The family will receive friends on Friday Oct. 16th, Noon to 2 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.  A memorial service will follow on Friday at 2 p.m. with father Chris Hamlett officiating.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jim's honor to St. Philip Church, 401 S. Mercer St., or the VFW Post 7842, 6913 Gehrton Rd., both of Linesville, Pa 16424.
