Jack L. Mickle, Sr. ebruaty 3, 1937 ~ August 24, 2011 Jack L. Mickle S«., 74, of Linesville, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at the Meadville Medical Center after a short illness. Born February 3, 1937 in Meadville, he was the son of Miles and Flazel Jones Mickle. He married Gladys Knierman on January 12, 1957 at St. Philip Church in Linesville. He was a 1955 graduate of Linesville High School. He worked for Bessemer Railroad, Warren Brothers, Rockwell International in Ashtabula, and retired from Anderson Coach and Travel as a bus driver. Jack was a member of the Masonic F & AM Eureka Lodge 290 in Greenville, the Crawford County Shrine Club and the Zem Zem Shriners of Erie. He was a life member of the Linesville Volunteer Fice Department, served on. the Linesville town council and water authority boards, and was involved in the Jaycees of Linesville. Also, he was involved with the Exie and Crawford Ausiliary State Police Company #38 and served as Constable of Linesville. He was a train enthusiast. Jack enjoyed fishing, hunting, loved to joke with people, and cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren. Sucvivors include his wife of 54 years, Gladys Mickle; two daughters, Deborah L. Knecht and her husband, Cheis, of Erie and Denise A. Mason and her husband, Randy, of Conneaut Lake; a son, Jack L. Mickle J. of Linesville; six grandchildren, Christopher Knecht Jr. Stephanie Knecht, Bill Mickle and his wife, Jaci, Timothy Mickle, Jennifer Mickle, and Megan Mason; and several nieces and nephews. ‘He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lawrence M. Mickle Sr. Calling hours will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville. The funeral service will be 11a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Father John A. Walsh officiating. Burial will be in St. Philip Cemetery in Linesville. ‘The family suggests memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Linesville Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 55, Linesville, Pa 16424.
