Henry James (Jim) Vinay

Espyville

     Henry James (Jim) Vinay of Espyville, PA peacefully passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026, with his beloved wife, Rosemary (Wolfe), and his identical twin brother and best friend, Steve (Tip), at his bedside.

     Jim was the son of the late Stephen Sr. and Josephine Vinay. After graduating from Munhall High School in 1962, he joined the Navy for six years’ service in the Navy's Nuclear Powered Propulsion Program.  He was an instructor at the nuclear plant prototype in Ballston Spa, New York then served on the USS BN 627, James Madison Nuclear Powered Submarine.  After his time in the Navy, he graduated from Penn State University with a degree in metallurgy.  He then joined the Westinghouse Corporation (Bettis and other Divisions) where he was an engineer until he retired after 30 years of employment. 

     He has lived in Pymatuning since he retired. In addition to his wife and brother, Jim leaves behind his sister, Barbara Fleming (Bob deceased) and his sister-in-law, Kay (Fleming) Vinay. He was extremely close to his nephews, Stephen III (Jennifer), Brian (Christine), and Kevin (Lindsay) Vinay, Robert Fleming Jr (Donna), and his niece Debbie (Fleming) Whiteford and their extended families. He was a devout Christian who loved his Lord Jesus, his wife, and his whole family. He especially loved the time spent fishing on Pymatuning Lake with his grandnephews. He will be sorely missed by his wife, all his family (especially his twin brother), and all the people who knew him.

     Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
