Glenn C. (Cliff) Cornell, 71, of Linesville, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020, at his residence following a battle with cancer.
He was born July 11, 1949, in Canonsburg, the son of Glenn and Esther Cornell. He married Laura (Enscoe) Cornell on February 24, 1986; she survives.
He served in the U.S. Marines as a Mechanical Engineer during the Vietnam War. He retired from Cope Farm Equipment as a John Deere Tech as he was well known for his mechanical ability as well as his woodworking skills even though he suffered from rheumatoid arthritis. He loved his pet cat, Gator, who was always with him in his garage.
Glenn was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7842 in Lineville, the American Legion Post 615 in Conneautville, the Pymatuning Sportsman’s Club in Linesville and the Eagles in Andover.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, Laura, include his sister, Dolly Learner of Carnegie, Pennsylvania; his best friend Scott Payne; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Cox.
There are no public services or calling hours per his wishes.
