Gerald Robert Gavron February 3, 1947 ~ April 29, 2012
Gerald Robert Gavron, 65, of Espyville, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012, at the Meadville Medical Center after a courageous three year battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born February 3, 1947 in Liberty Borough, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Frank and Mary Lodor Gavron. He married Judith A. Baughman; she survives. He graduated from McKeesport High School in 1965. He worked at many different trades mostly as a mechanic.
Gerald loved working on and cars, motorcycles and boats and enjoyed using them, He was an artist and especially liked painting. He loved being outdoors and going fishing. He cherished his family and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Gavron of Liberty Borough; his wife, Judith A. Gavron of Espyville; his four children, Kimberly A. Gavron of Herminie, Gerald L. Gavron of Espyville, Sheila R. Gavron of Monongahela and Nicole M. Gavron of Pleasant Hills; five grandchildren, Kayla, Brittany and Courtney Jones, Alyssa and Ronald Gavron; three brothers, Stanley Gavron and his wife, Darlene, of Liberty Borough, Frank Gavron and his wife, Kathy, of North Huntingdon, and Kenneth Gavron of Delaware.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Gavron.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U. S. Highway 6, Linesville. A memorial service will follow at 5 with Father Steve Anderson, pastor of Our Lady Queen of the Americas Church in Conneaut Lake, officiating.
