Edward E. Cornell fy August 1, 1942 ~ October 15, 2011 ard E. Cornell, 69, of Linesville, passed away, Saturday, October 15, 2011, at UPMC Horizon Hospital in Greenville. Born August 1, 1942 in Meadville, he was the son of Wallace W. Cornell and Isabel Lester White. He was of the Protestant faith. Edward had attended Linesville High School. For over 40 years, he was head of the maintenance department at Greenville Steel Car. a social member of the Linesville American Legion Post 462 and the Linesville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7842. Also, he belonged to the Pymatuning Sportsman’s Club in Linesville. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, Survivors include his wife, Julia A. Cornell; his father, Wallace W. Cornell of Cambridge Springs; his mother, Lester White of Conneautville; two sisters, Donna Sparks of Phoenix, Arizona and Joyce Baker of Greenville; a brother, Eugene Cornell and his wife, Dorothy, of Conneautville; and the following nieces and nephews, Sandy Griffin of Albion, James Cornell of Erie, Donald Baker of Sandy Lake, Danica Hoogstad of Sandy Lake, and Jerry Venhaus of Phoenix, Arizona. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 US. Highw: lle. The funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private in ‘The family suggests memorial contributions may be made in Edward’s name to the American Cancer Society, 505 Poplar St., Meadville, Pa 16335.
