E. Arden Jackson April 2, 1919 ~ October 1, 2011 E. Arden Jackson, 92, of Linesville, passed away Saturday, October i, 2011 at his residence after a long wonderful life. Born April 2, 1919 in Erie, he was the son of Herbert and Zella Stevenson Jackson. He married Waive A. McBride on February 6, 1941 at the Meadville Baptist Church Parsonage. They were married for over 60 years. Waive preceded Arden in death on March 14, 2008. He was of the Protestant faith. For over 50 years, Arden ‘owned and operated Jackson Electric in Linesville. He was one of the first to do electeical wiring in the area and Drought electric to many of the area homes. He also worked as the supervisor of the Bundy Water Company for 24 years and was crucial in the moderation of the local water company Arden was one of the founding members of the Linesville Volunteer Fire Department where he worked hard to become President. He served on the Linesville Boro Council and was a member of the Linesville Chamber of Commerce. He loved attending and working the community fairs and Strawberry Festivals in Linesville. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, watching bieds and caring for his fish. Survivors include a son, Alan H. Jackson of Linesville; a daughter-in-law, Lucille M. Jackson of West Chester, PA; three grandchildren, Timothy A. Jackson and Wife, Dawn of Stroudsburg, Pa, Melissa M. Lloyd and husband, Joe of Adanta, GA and Stepahnie terman and husband, Brandon of Downingtown, Pa ; four great-geandchildren, Emily Jackson and Ashley, Jaedon and Jordyn Waterman; a sister-in-law, Jean Marr of Shermansville; and many nieces and nephew: He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, David A. Jackson, brother, Lawrence Jackson, a sister, Ardena Rankin and great-grandchild, ‘Tyson Waterman. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 US. Highway 6, Linevsille. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Gerald Devine of the United Church of Beaver Center officiating, Burial will be in Linesville Cemetery.
