E. Mike Hancock

E, Mike Hancock February 21, 1931 ~ October 27, 2012 E. Mike Hancock, 81, went home to be with the Lord after a lengthy illness on Saturday, October 27,2012, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Born February 21, 1931 in Afton, Oklahoma, he was the son of William and Elizabeth Hancock. He married Sally Brown on May 24, 1975 in Andover, Ohio. He was Chief of Police in Andover, Ohio for niany Yeats, Also, Mike had worked as a supervisorat Locke Machine in Andover. For over twenty years, he had trained and showed horses. He also taught Judo, He was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Marines for 8 years and served in the Korean War and was involved in demolition and mines. Mike was of the Protestant faith, He loved spending time with his family, his three legged companion, Spike, and his four legged companions, Nakita, Cisco, and Duke. He will be greatly missed. Survivors include his loving wife of 37 years, Sally; three daughters, Karen Dennis and her husband, Darrel, of Conneaut, Ohio, Bonnie Van Dusen, and her husband, Paul, of Linesville, and Ronnie Kelley, and her husband, Tim, of Ashtabula; four sons, Mike Hancock and his wife, Diane, of Oil City, Kenn Hancock of Espyville, Brian Hancock and his wife, Cathe, of Linesville, and John Hancock and his wife, Holly, of Pittsburgh; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sons, David and Steve Hancock. Private services will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
