Donna Mae McCormick, 81, of Conneautville, passed away, unexpectedly on Saturday, July 5, 2014, at her residence.

Born July 2, 1933 in Linesville, she was the daughter of Raymond and Velma Bollard Ladner.  She married James P. McCormick on June 27, 1953 in Linesville; he preceded her in death on December 14, 1994.

She was a 1953 graduate of Linesville-Conneaut-Summit High School.  In her younger years, Donna worked as a nursing assistant for Spencer Hospital in Meadville.  She retired from Warren Brothers where she drove bus for over 30 years.

Donna was a member of the Hickernell United Methodist Church in Springboro.  She also was a member of the Linesville Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 7842 Ladies Auxiliary.

She enjoyed music, dancing, and loved watching her husband’s band and would also sing with him in the band.  She was a very social person and loved being around people.  Donna lived for her grandchildren and cherished the time she spent with them.

Survivors include two sons, Raymond C. McCormick of Conneautville and Dennis L. McCormick and his wife, Jean, of Girard; eight grandchildren, James, Kelly, Jack, Jessica, Karen, Amanda, Chelsea and Charles; four great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Cannan, Allanah and David; sister-in-law, Sue McCormick of Conneautville; her dear friends, Marilyn Jurysta of Conneautville and Fred and Adeline Miller of Springboro.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two daughter-in-laws, Cathy and Brenda McCormick; two sisters, Gayle Ann King and Martha Herbold; and a brother, Ken Carlson.

Calling hours will be Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.

A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Dixie Welker officiating.

Burial will be private in Linesville Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Linesville Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 7842, 6913 Gehrton Rd., Linesville, Pa 16424.
