Dolores E. Austin August 14, 1927 ~ April 24, 2012
Dolores E. Austin, 84, of Greenville, formerly of Espyville, passed away, Tuesday, Apsil 24, 2012, at UPMC Horizon Hospital in Greenville.
Born August 14, 1927, she was the daughter of Owen and Anna Weidl Lennon. She married Frederick F. Austin on April 27, 1968 at St. Ambrose Church in. Pittsburgh; he preceded her in death on Apsil 17, 1998. For 23 years, she worked in numerous departments for Sears in Pittsburgh and retired in 1981.
She was a member of St. Philip Church in Linesville were she was a member and past president of the Altar and Rosary Society. Dolores taught CCD Class at St. Philip Church for 11 years. Lately, she had attended St. Michael Church in Greenville. She was a member of the Linesville Senior Center. Dolores was very active in her church and the community.
Survivors include five grandchildren, Tracey Vale and her husband, Troy, Cindy Hillard and her husband, Scott, and Thomas Rebele Je. all of Greenville, Michelle Austin and Gary Austin both of Pittsburgh; five great-grandchildeen; step-son, Gary Austin and his wife, Sandy, of Pittsbusgh; a son-in-law, Lee Helbig of Greenville; a brother, Thomas A. Lennon of McClandless Township, Pa; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by first husband, Herman A. Rebele Jr; second husband, Jack Jones; third husband, Frederick Austin; a daughter, Donna J. Helbig in 2006 ; a son, Thomas R. Rebele in 2005; four sisters, Sarah Weiss, Lillian Green, Madeline Puskas, and Sylvia Schrott; and a brother, Bernard Lennon.
Calling hours will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 US. Highway 6, Linesville. A rosary service will be conducted at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Busial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Philip Roman Catholic, 401 S. Mercer St., Linesville, with Father Dennis Veltri, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Philip Cemetery.
