ee David M. Strittmatter May 10, 1957 ~ August 17, 2012 David M. Strittmatter, 55, of Espyville, Pa, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 17, 2012, at UPMC Horizon in Greenville. Born May 10, 1957 in Euclid, Ohio, he was the son of Floyd and Gloria Stewart Strittmatter. He was a 1975 graduate from Harvey High School in Painesville, Ohio. David was a former cement truck driver for Ashtabula Concrete Inc. in Ashtabula, Ohio. David was of the Protestant faith, and was a member of Conneaut Lake Volunteer Fire Department Station 3 and was a former member of the Pymatuning Sportsman's Club in Linesville. He enjoyed traveling, Survivors include his mother, Gloria J. Davis of Espyville; two sisters, Laura i Jones and Janet Ramsey both of Espyville; a niece, Kristy Strittmatter and her companion, Rich Witkowski, of Espyville; two nephews, Tom Ramsey of Willoughby, Ohio and Domenic Guido of Solon, Ohio; his closest and dearest friend, Shirley Yerse of Oakdale; and his stepmother, Barb Strittmatter of Mentor, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd D. Strittmatter; his stepfather, Charles Davis; his grandparents, Agatho and Pearl Strittmatter and Lorin and Alice Stewart; and all his beloved American Eskimo dogs that he ad raised. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. on Saturday at the North Shenango Presbyterian Church, 10377 Church Rd., Espyville with Rev. Frank Duncan officiating. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made in David’s name to the North Shenango Volunteer Fire Department, 2887 State Hwy 285, Espyville, Pa 16424 or the Conneaut Lake Ambulance Service, 290 S. 4th St., Conneaut Lake, Pa 16316, David's final act was to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation. Arrangements are under the direction of Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U. S. Highway 6, Linesville.
