Carol Ann (Tovey) Reynolds

November 13, 1940 — November 18, 2020

Carol Ann Reynolds, 80, of Linesville, went to be with her Heavenly Father, on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at Meadville Medical Center.

Born November 13, 1940, in Meadville, she was the daughter of Jack Tovey and Josephine (Rice) Tovey Sheesley.  She married David L. Reynolds on February 26, 1959, in Winston-Salem, NC.  He preceded her in death on March 19, 2015.

Carol was a 1958 graduate of Linesville-Conneaut-Summit High School.  She was a member of the Linesville United Methodist Church and enjoyed attending church, Sunday school and bible study.  She served as the Membership Secretary with her beautiful handwriting in those books for over 40 years, she had enjoyed singing in the choir and helping with outreach activities.  Carol loved spending time in God’s word and praying for family and friends.

In her younger years she worked as a waitress at a restaurant near Conneaut Lake Park called Laura’s, and she also worked in the cafeteria at the Park.  Once she was married and had started a family, taking care of family was her main passion.

She was a member of the Red Hats.  Carol enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, baking, and canning.  She loved feeding and watching the birds, and especially enjoyed the song of the Purple Martins.  Carol most enjoyed entertaining her family and cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and loved spending time with them.

Survivors include five children, Craig Reynolds and wife, Diane, of Conneaut Lake, Cindy Carlson and husband, Terry, of Linesville, JoAnn Leffingwell of Fellsmere, Fla., Amber Leffingwell of St. Augustine, Fla., and John Leffingwell of Linesville; five grandchildren, Tyler Reynolds and his wife, Brittani, of Meadville, Brad Reynolds and his wife, Brooke, of Conneautville, Mallory Richards and her husband, Matthew of Salem, Ohio, Daniel Carlson and his fiancé, Jackie Lenhardt of Linesville, and Michael Carlson and his girlfriend, Kaitlyn Royal, of Linesville; five great-grandchildren, Raegan, Reid, Emma and Cooper Reynolds, and Barrett Richards; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Carol’s Life will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at the Linesville United Methodist Church, 334 West Erie St., Linesville.  The family will receive friends before the memorial from 10 until 11 a.m. at the church.

A private graveside service was held at Evergreen Cemetery in Harmonsburg.
