Carol James-Smith

     Carol James-Smith, 87, of Conneautville passed away surrounded by her loving family on July 27, 2026, at Meadville Medical Center after an acute illness. She was born November 5, 1938 in LaSalle, Michigan.

     Carol was a loving and devoted homemaker. She went to Jefferson High School at age 50 to finish her high school diploma.

     She walked to the beat of her own drum, was compassionate, funny and frugal. Carol enjoyed listening to the radio, putting together puzzles, Chinese food, yard sales and keeping her yard looking nice. Most of all she loved spending time with family and will be greatly missed.

     She is survived by 6 children and 18 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

     A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
